Project Overview
Hellsinki Metal Festival invites true, purist metalheads to a unique music experience each August, held at the Helsinki Ice Hall. The festival features two large open-air stages and a third stage located inside the Ice Hall, offering a darker, more intense indoor atmosphere.
A standout element of the festival is its exclusive “RIP” ticket class (a metal twisted version of VIP), which grants access to the special area. This space is designed as a more private, less crowded cozy lounge for RIP guests, performers, and invited partners—serving as a relaxed meet-and-greet zone with refreshments and a chance to unwind between sets, but also with a great wiev to main stage. Filmlike was brought on by the Hellsinki Metal Festival event team to design decorations and implement the RIP-area infrastructure, including lighting, signage, and custom metal-themed decorations that enhance the overall festival atmosphere.
